Our founders were not convinced that radiation protection companies represented in Australia offered the highest radiation protection for healthcare professionals and patients. So in 2016 we established of Deutsch Medical. At that time, all lead aprons and glasses put healthcare professionals at continued risk as the equipment has only been tested at one x-ray tube voltage (e.g. 90kVp) not taking scatter radiation or fluorescence into consideration. What’s more, we came across a lot of confusing messages, didn’t like the one-size-fits-all approach and knew that healthcare professionals in hospitals and clinics were not being fully protected.
Deutsch Medical has been established to address all the challenges facing hospital staff and their protection. We are led by one single mission:
Striving to raise the bar in protecting healthcare professionals and their patients from harmful effects of primary and secondary radiation.
Deutsch Medical’s mission is to protect patients and healthcare professionals who work in fluoroscopic environments such as in Cardiac Catheter Labs, Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Labs; Interventional Radiology, Urology and Cardiology; Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Pain Management, from harmful effects of primary (x-ray) and secondary (scatter/ fluorescence) radiation.
We strive to raise the bar in protecting healthcare professionals and their patients from harmful effects of primary and secondary radiation.
We achieve this by providing more comfortable and durable personal radiation protection, manufactured in line with the highest radiation protection standards and exceeding quality specifications at lighter weight – independently audited and verified. This is supported by free personalised and educational service that helps customers to make an informed decision about our radiation protection products.
We constantly ask ourselves whether any new product will make life better or safer for the wearer. We carefully select and work with manufacturers that share our value system and produce best-in-class radiation protection products in accordance to the highest radiation protection and quality standards.
Deutsch Medical listen to customers and procures radiation protection products that are designed with their needs in mind. We believe that medical professionals and their patients deserve a higher level of protection and comfort without the “one-size-fits-all” approach of many suppliers.
It is paramount that your radiation protective equipment fits properly to provide you with the highest level of radiation protection and comfort.
Deutsch Medical verify claims by independent, third-party bodies from the most trusted names in the certification sector. We willingly share details of our certifications and insist on absolute clarity in terms of the level of protection that our products offer.
We teach you to make smart radiation protection choices, ensuring you select radiation protection equipment to best suit you and your specific needs.
We help you gain clarity and understanding of standards, test reports, radiation protection materials and products , supported by clinical evidence & references.
Deutsch Medical customise the offering to provide radiation protection equipment that optimally fits and protects you, based on your individual needs - experience the fit, weight and quality before you make your decisions.
